Support
This page answers common questions from athletes using tri.build. If you can't find what you need below, email us at support@tri.build and we'll get back to you.
Account
I didn't receive the verification or password reset email
Check your spam folder first. If it's still not there after a few minutes, try requesting it again from the forgot password page, and confirm you're using the same email address you signed up with. If that doesn't work, email support@tri.build.
I forgot my password
Use the forgot password page to request a reset link.
I want to change my email address or delete my account
Email support@tri.build from the address linked to your account. Account deletion removes all of your data (training history, conversations, preferences); see the privacy policy for details on your rights under GDPR and Swiss data protection law.
Activities
Uploading FIT files
From the activities page, drag a .fit file anywhere on the page or use the file picker. Sports we don't support will be skipped with a note.
Connecting Strava
From the activities page, click Connect with Strava and authorise tri.build. Once connected, your completed activities sync automatically so the AI coach can review them alongside your plan. We retrieve activity name, sport, start time, duration, distance, heart rate, power, cadence, laps, and (if present) GPS and time-series data. We do not post to Strava or change anything in your Strava account.
Disconnecting Strava
From the activities page, click Disconnect. This revokes tri.build's access immediately. Activities already synced are retained so you keep access to your training history; you can delete individual activities at any time. You can also revoke access directly from your Strava settings.
A Strava activity hasn't appeared in tri.build
New activities typically sync within a few minutes of being saved on Strava. If it's still missing after a while, try disconnecting and reconnecting Strava — this re-authorises access and triggers a fresh sync. If that doesn't resolve it, email support@tri.build with the activity's date and sport.
I reconnected Strava but nothing is syncing
Check that you accepted the View data about your activities permission on the Strava authorisation screen. Without it, tri.build cannot read your activities. Disconnect and reconnect, making sure the permission is granted.
An activity is wrong — can I edit or delete it?
You can delete any activity from the activities page. Editing isn't supported yet; if the data is wrong, fix it on the source (e.g. in Strava or your watch app), delete the activity here, and re-upload or let it re-sync.
Using the coach
How do I get a training plan?
Tell the coach about your goal (a race, a fitness target) and your constraints (hours per week, days you can train, equipment). It will propose a plan and schedule sessions. There's no separate form to fill in — it all happens through conversation.
A planned session doesn't fit my schedule
Tell the coach what changed — missed a session, travelling, feeling under the weather — and it will adapt the plan. It's designed to roll with real life rather than expect perfect adherence.
How do I record how a session actually went?
If you uploaded a FIT file or synced from Strava, the coach sees the objective data automatically. For everything else — how you felt, perceived effort, niggles — just tell the coach.
